The tapenade is a typical Provencal sauce prepared with a mince of anchovies, capers and black olives and it has an intense and particular flavor. For this reason, tapenade is the perfect seasoning for meat and fish dishes but it can also be spread on croutons and slices of toasted bread.
With its delicate flavor it is also an ideal dip for Finger Food. The name of this recipe comes from “tapeno” which, in Provençal, indicates the buds of capers.
